Last Sunday, on “Museums-Free-For-All Day,” a lady friend and I decided to visit a museum neither of us had visited before, the Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA).
I had the pleasure of discovering the work of Dave Lefner, a brilliant, passionate, down-to-earth, graphic artist who specializes in the medium of “Reduction Block Printing.” His work is riveting; it is amazing.
For a long time I too have been a photographer, graphic artist, and an unabashed lover of art. As a veteran film location scout, who for years explored Los Angeles with camera in hand, Dave’s work, and the 12 minute documentary of his work and creative processes, blew me away.
The attached video, The [ahr-tuh-zen] Project: Dave Lefner, is directed by Ric Serena of Serena Creative in Burbank, California.
