While breaking from my sleep I wrote,
\nTo my old car this dearly note:<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve traveled now for twenty years,
\nThrough ups and downs, and laughs and tears.<\/p>\n
200,000 miles you drove,
\nThe memories are a treasure trove.<\/p>\n
Your wheels have conquered tons of muck,
\nIn all our years we\u2019ve ne\u2019er been stuck.<\/p>\n
And parts of you I did replace,
\nAt much less than a normal pace.<\/p>\n
Your tires have balded like my head,
\nThen I have purchased you new tread.<\/p>\n
Your sides have suffered dent and crack,
\nAs I have with my own damned back.<\/p>\n
Our bodies creak and sometimes moan,
\nBut I don\u2019t want another loan.<\/p>\n
I could have traded you for new,
\nBut loyal cars these days are few.<\/p>\n
